This experiment was carried out to select resistant cultivar to CMV in cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) and obtain the basic data for breeding. The results were as follows;
On investigation of CMV-As resistance into 20 Korean cultivars, 8 European cultivars, and 13 inbred lines by ELISA method, Dadagi line was susceptible and Cheongjang was resistant in Korean cultivars. And foreign cultivars were generally more resistant than Korean cultivars.
The most resistant cultivar was ¢¥Daliboi and, in inbred line, ¢¥Janghyunghuckjinju¢¥ .
In comparison of protoplast yield among cotyledon, young leaf, and hypocotyl, the greatest was at cotyledon in macerozyme 0.5% + cellulase 2.0%.
In comparison of protoplast yield between two cultivars according to CMV-As resistance, susceptible ¢¥Heungnongbaekdadagi¢¥ was more than Sandra¢¥.
On investigation of cell-wall thickness of young leaf, ¢¥Sandra¢¥ was thicker than ¢¥Heungnongbaekdadagi¢¥.
